We are spun in so many directions that the sun is no longer hovering in the centre of our periphery. There are so many feelings, all of them, swimming madly against the current. And the electricity from the frenzy of footsteps and laughter, has conducted an enormous amount of erosion around the heart.
Misfiring. Misreading. Misdirection. Missing pieces.
Grace walks in. A subtle pirouette. Spinning motionless and falling off track. Amazing as her name implies, breath reaches the tip of summits that see the moon rise and the memories eclipse.
Sit with me she says. Water becomes your friend and can help carry what your heart can no longer hold onto. Grace, she said, can help you navigate the storm, the flooding, the turning of mud into the lotus.
Amazing she is, an invitation to kneel in the rushing creek, a baptismal, washing away the sticky film of greed, anger, corruption, and crime.
This is not yours to divine. Not yours to intervene. Not yours to dance with.
Amazing Grace, can lift you from the disease and deliver you to the other side. That place where action receives consequences, where responsibility brings the gift of kindness.
Let the corrupted feed upon themselves. Let servitude be their punishment.
And you? Grace is here to remind you what is holy, what is fragile, what is real. She is the veil that shelters you from the sinners, the criminals, and the spiritually deranged.
She is the whisper that you hear among the trees.
She is the air that you breathe, and the release you feel when you exhale.
She is your reason, your meaning, your light between the cracks.
The force that finds you and releases you.
Amazing is Grace.
